Fly Away to Me - Chapter 3Marcella’s first hour Mythology class was just a few yards away from her locker, so that worked out in her favor. As she entered the class, she found an empty seat near the front of the class, just to the right of the door. Setting her stuff down on top of the empty desk next to her, she settled in for a boring lecture about dragons, leprechauns, and trolls. The teacher in that class was pretty easy going, so Marcella pulled out her iPod and plugged into her mind numbing music to drown out the outside world. Fly Away to Me - Chapter 2 The roads weren’t as dry and easy going as Marcella would have hoped, but she considered herself a fairly decent driver, so the given conditions didn’t bother her much. She let her mind wander as she headed toward her hell on earth she called school. She thought about graduation, and what she would do after it came and left. She thought about her classes, and how she would have to bust her ass to get caught up from the previous week, considering she was absent due to the need of a few personal days. Fly Away to Me - Chapter 1 The rude awakening of the 7:15 a.m. alarm clock awoke Marcella with a shock on a rainy Thursday morning. Struggling, she climbed out of her warm cocoon of blankets to shut off the noisy reminder that she had to soon face the world. She wished that she could just stay in bed all day and return to the comfort of her dreams…. but no. But, she gave herself the luxury of 10 extra minutes of down time. Sliding back in her protective shell of sheets and quilts, she sighed heavily and thought of the day ahead while she listened to the soft noise of rain falling outside her window.
